It's Wedding Season!

17th Feb 2015

With the hustle and bustle of Valentine’s Day over it’s time to start focusing on the most important season of the year – Wedding Season. A lot of brides wonder about what types of colors and flowers are appropriate for the season that they are having their wedding in. This week we will take a quick look at colors and flowers appropriate for weddings for each season. Always remember though – your wedding should fit you and your partner’s personalities more than anything else!

Nothing says spring wedding like pastel hues and light airy colors. Springtime yields an amazing amount of early blooming flowers so there are a lot of types to choose from. Our favorite picks this year are shades of pinks and purples with pops of bright green. Our favorite blooms this time of year are tulips, garden roses, ranunculus, hydrangeas, and orchids.

Summer time is the perfect time for bright colors that really pop! Couples have so many choices of flowers and colors as the growing season is in full swing. Our favorite shades for summer weddings are bight blues, yellows, and of course purple. Our favorite types of flowers for season are gerberas, poppies, chrysanthemums, and asters.

Fall time weddings are some of our favorites. The deep bold colors of the season can be perfectly reflected in your wedding flowers. Another fun thing about fall is the cameo appearances made by the fruits of harvest time, like green apples and other fresh berries! Our favorite colors for the season are bold reds and oranges. Our favorite blooms are Asiatic lilies, calla lilies, garden roses, and fresh fruits.

Snow white roses with a pop deep wine colored calla lilies is our favorite look for a winter wedding. The subdued colors of winter make for classic flower designs at your wedding. If you’re thinking of an all white wedding remember that succulents can really dress up your bouquet without straying too far from the classic look. Our favorite colors for the season are wine red, snow white and deep purples. Our favorite blooms for the season are protea, amaryllis, narcissus, and holly berries.

Remember these ideas are just to serve as inspiration. Your wedding flowers should be special to you and help you make that special day memorable. There are so many option available the best rule of thumb is just to be you!
